We are on the road again!! This time we are headed out to the Walti family Lakehouse near Scranton, PA. Scott's dad grew up here every summer and it is a wonderful family tradition! Very relaxing and a BLAST with the kids!! They all pass out from activity nice and early from exhaustion!

Road Trip / Katie's Wedding...finally

It has been a very hectic, but FUN - FUN - FUN month of June in our home! Katie was off for her wedding/honeymoon from Memorial Day until last Friday, so we had the opportunity to visit a lot of people, do a lot of fun activities, and spend great time with our #1 priorities - Jack and Emma.

I took so many great shots of our "road trip" out East for the wedding - along the way, we visited Nana, Pappaw, and Kitten for a long 500 weekend, Cousins Sam and Lily in Indy, Cousins Ryan and Drew in Columbus, Rochester NY for the "big event," and then Daddy's cousins in Cleveland on the way home. It was exhausting, but AMAZING.

And a VERY BIG THANK YOU to our "fill-in" childcare - Aunt Heather, Nana Knowling, and Grandma & Pop...we are so fortunate to have such selfless families that were willing to pinch-hit for us by watching the kids during this time. They had so much fun with all of you and I am so grateful for the memories that they will have of their special weeks with their favorite people! Love you ALL!

In unrelated news, I have already logged in 60 work hours this week!! Let's just say that there been a little of this consumed when I get home...

Daddy's Day

As a testiment to how fabulous my husband is as a father, he took both kids to Ohio this weekend and left me here alone! How many Dad's would do that, especially on "his weekend?" I told you - AMAZING!!!

Scott is such a patient and loving father...the way that the kiddos run up to him when he gets home makes me so happy and proud that I "chose the right guy..." Jack asks him to play baseball EVERY DAY when he gets home, and Scott NEVER tells him no, no matter how tired he is or what else he has to do.

He loves us all with a true heart, and works so hard to make our life as easy and as fun as possible. Scott is so modest, and will probably kill me for blogging this, but he got a new job last week, which will hopefully bring him more satisfaction and bigger and brighter things - the interview process was pretty hardcore, but we had no doubt that our Daddy-Man would prevail! We are VERY proud of him and excited about what the future holds!

And my own dad...what can you say about Mark Knowling? Well, he is HILARIOUS - he makes us laugh non-stop (and sometimes we ARE laughing AT YOU Dad, not with you!). My dad is one of the most fun people that I know and he has only gotten better with age. I truly can call him a good friend - he is always there for advice, he knows how to fix ANYTHING (Scott is seriously taking notes after some "fix it up lessons"), he is a great cook, can make a mean margarita, and extremely generous. We look forward to our Florida trip every year and I cannot wait for this October for swimming, dinners out, family naps, and lots of laughs.

Everytime we go to see Pappaw, Jack literally starts smiling and laughing as we round the corner to their house. My dad comes out, opens the car door, and they start giggling together - and the sweet way that he is with his "little girl," Emma, is adorable. Seeing him as a grandfather is amazing.

Also a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to my fabulous Father In Law and my Grandfather - both outstanding men who have also taught me alot and who we love VERY MUCH!!!

Go give your dad a HUG!!

my apologies

...I have received many comments on the lack of recent blog posts (HI DUSTIN!) - My apologies! The Walti's have been on the road, busy-busy-busy, and having fun while Katie is gone, so this is leaving little room for updates!

I am intending to work on some re-design of the blog and updates from Katie & Pete's wedding, my week off with the kiddos, our travels and more this weekend, so stay tuned!

On the Road!!

We have been on a little family road trip on our way to Katie and Pete's wedding in Rochester!! A weekend in Indy with Pappaw, swimming with the cousins, a night in Columbus with cousins Ryan and Drew - it has been fun so far!!
