Introducing...(finally!)

Sophis is a dream so far! Things have been a little busy here, as one can imagine, but we are loving every minute as a family if FIVE and adjusting!

Sophia was a very easy delivery, the induction was great, and with 3 pushes, out she was here! There was a day delay on her pretty name, but we finally had enough energy to finalize it (we were running on 3 hours of sleep).

More photos and anecdotes about her first week to come soon; I have a lot of photo editing to do and not many hours to do it in! (unless you count the 3-4x I am up nursing at 12,2,5, and 6:30am!)

In two short days...

We should be holding our newest little blessing!



With all of the flip-flopping (it IS an election year :-) ), Dr. Feldstein made the "executive decision" that I should be induced this Thursday at 39 weeks...2 days! It is very strange to know ahead of time that you will more than likely have a baby on a certain day, but I have to say that as a Mom of 2, it is actually kind of nice to be assured that they will be taken care of, plans made, and things can get finished.

We are in pretty good shape - I have a few freezer meals ready to go, my Dad/stepmom get here tomorrow night to stay with the kiddos (Emma already woke up this morning shouting "Pappaw, Nana...I'm awake!"), and the house is about as clean as it can be. I am a little anxious about and am preparing myself for the feeling of being crowded in our condo, but it is short-term and people do with much less - an infant takes up little space!

It really just hit me today that I will be meeting, snuggling, and nursing my tiny cutie very soon - SO EXCITED! So ready to see Jack & Emma's sweet faces when they meet their new bro/sis for the first time (they talk about it all the time - super pumped), ready for that baby smell, ready for the calming and overwhelming loving effect that a precious newborn has on a family.

So...the next post will likely be the announcement of Baby Walti #3! I can't wait!!!!!

And...

The little rascal flipped back to head down on his/her own! We were at the hospital for an hour and a half, I was getting ready to have my IV and epidural and the resident came in to double check with an ultrasound...literally 5 seconds later she said "well, it's head down again, go on home!"

Sooooo happy and relieved! Now just STAY THERE baby, Momma does not want a C-Section!!!!

Already acting up!

38 weeks today, and Baby Walti #3 has decided to ask for some special attention!



I found out at my appointment yesterday that the baby has flipped and is now breech...not ideal!

So...Scott drive 5 hours home last night from his client in Cincy, the kiddos stayed with Grandma & Pop, and we are headed to the hospital shortly for an "external version" procedure (with epidural, thank goodness) to try to get this little bugger to flip back! Hoping that all goes well as planned, my doc said that this isn't rare with 3rd+ pregnancies, as the uterus is just more lax which gives a little more room to move around later. There are some risks that it will send me into labor (I am currently 2cm dilated and cervix is softening) or if the baby's blood pressure drops, then I will be sent in for an immediate c-section...trying to avoid that at any cost, so trying to think positive thoughts tonight! But packed the bags just in case (I love how you pack, but rarely use ANYTHING other than your camera!).

All else was good, baby's heartbeat was in low 140s, I'm hanging at 19 lbs total gained, and Jack & Emma are super excited for their next playmate!!!

Keepin it real - I am trying my hardest to pack a lot of fun and memories into these last couple of weeks at home as an "easy" family of 4...but my body says STOP!!!

Scott is on a trip this week, so heading up to Lville after my Wed doc appt (I was 2cm dilated and the baby has dropped as of last Friday!) for some help from my amazing in-laws- and I just don't want to be by myself with the kids should I go into labor!

38 week update on Wednesday...I am predicting a few lazy mornings and Disney afternoons in our close future!
