Museum, The Zoo and More Fun!

Whew - I'm pooped!

Jack and I had a fun week last week - our friend Adrian and her 2 year old daughter Gracie were in town from San Diego, so we tried to pack as many fun thing in as we could! The weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked, but we made it to the Museum of Science and Industry where the kids were loving the Farm and Train exhibits. I think that Jack would have watched the model train go around for hours.

On Saturday morning we hit the Lincoln Park Zoo and they rode a train all by themselves - we were shocked! It was great to catch up with Dre and hang out with the rest of my girlfriends all weekend. We are all very sad that Kate and Nikki will be leaving us soon, so we need to be together as much as possible before they move...!!

Jack needs to recover this week - his sleeping has been a little off and we have the fun 18 hour car ride in a week and a half to the PN lakehouse so he really needs to prepare to be able to handle that!

Sorry this is a day late, but we were up in Libertyville all day with no time to write. I hope that Scott had a wonderful 2nd Father's Day and enjoyed sleeping in, breakfast and time to watch the Open with his Dad.

Only 1 more week until the lake vacation - Yippee!!!

Very often, I tell myself how lucky I am to have married into such a wonderful family. We all have such a great time together and it is so fun to have tons of little kids underfoot!

In our family, we have 3 rowdy nephews and 1 very precocious niece. Part of this weekend and the last couple of days have been spent up in the Chicago suburbs with at Scott's parents house where his older sister Heather and her two kids, Lily and Sam are staying for the week. There were 3 boys born within 5 months of each other in '07/08, Drew, Jack and Sam...so we are in for some very fun and ornery times ahead!

It was a fun weekend and the kids got along great. A trip to the ice cream store, swinging outside, rides on the mower, time at the beach - the start to a great summer!

The boys POST their treat of chocolate pudding. As you can see, Sam has good table manners and my rascal does not...yes, he usually eats shirtless for obvious reasons!
