Our good friends Ellen and Jason ("Lud") welcomed Julia last Friday, 9/25 and she is a doll! It is so fun to have another local friend with a baby and we are so excited to have a little girl to dress up with bows and dresses! We are now up to 4 Corner Pocket Babies with a couple more on the way!

Jack enjoyed watching his first "real" Colts game last weekend and loves saying "Football" - he also knows how to say "Manning" and "Peyton!"

**He also now likes to "cheese" at the camera, so it is very hard to get a good picture! I'm sure the first of many struggles with this!

We are all hopeful for a great season!!!

Whew! A Busy few weeks!!

WOW - the past few weeks have been super busy and fun - but have left little time to post! I have missed giving my updates and I also use this as my on-line journal of Jack's life, so it is time for a little update!

A couple of weeks ago, we had my dad, Ellen, and Kensi in town for the weekend. Nana and Aunt Kensi were participating in the Chicago Triathlon, so we had some fun and got to watch them perform - they did great! Kensi was so cute running to each of her 3 events and received a very cool medal. Later that day, all of us took a nap except for our little triathlete - I guess your body can easily take all of that action at 10 years old!

After that weekend, I started my new job at ESD. I am really enjoying it so far and really like my new boss. My commute is AMAZING and I seriously cannot get over how much easier life is - 22 minute door-to-door commute vs. my old 1-1.5 hour commute in the car! This gives me so much more time with Scott & Jack = Awesome!

We also started a "nanny-share" with another neighborhood family 2 weeks ago. We have had some hiccups, but are finally getting situated and Jack is doing pretty well. He is having some separation anxiety for a little while in the morning, but I think that we have our routine down and he will do great! The other family that we are sharing with is great and they have a very smiley little 9 month old, Dylan (and a 2 year old black lab, which Jack LOVES)! We are lucky to have paired up with them and I am glad that Jack has some socialization.

Jack...OH, I really need to upload some video of him TALKING. The past month has been REMARKABLE in this area - he is saying almost everything back to us (pretty close!) and it is so cute. "There you go (Der Go)," "Thank You (tank you)," and "I love you (Ra,Ra)" are our favorites and it is so fun. He also is loving repeating animal sounds to you and pointing out everything that he sees - "Bug", "Rock," "Puppy." SO FUN AND CUTE! He is also VERY into practicing his baseball and golf skills - My dad gave him a plastic golf club set and he loves to "whack it" (we really need to come up with a better way to say that, for obvious reasons!) - it is really fun to watch and he is getting his swing down pretty well!

We really haven't had a ton of time to take many pictures lately, but below is a slide show of the triathlon weekend - I wanted to spotlight Aunt Kensi ("Ensie"), as she did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB! We are so proud of you and Nana!!!

More updates to follow and I promise to start back up on weekly posts now that things are settling down a bit again!!!

Out of Time

No posts lately - we have been way too busy and I just haven't taken the time to upload any new pics. We were back in Indiana 2 weekends ago for my cousin's wedding (Congrats, Megan!), my Dad, Ellen & Kensi were here this past weekend for the Chicago Triathalon (Congrats, Kensi and Ellen - woo-hoo!!) and Today, I started my new job!

Lots of changes for our family, but we are doing great and Jack is adjusting...he had a rough today today without Mom & Dad, but I am sure that the week will get easier on all of us as it goes on...

I will try to get on tomorrow night with more updates ----I am exhausted!!!

**But - my commute has gone from 1-1.5 hours in the car to a whopping 22 minutes todayon the el! :-) BIG PLUS!!!
