We didn't find time to get to a pumpkin patch last year - so this year, we made up for it with two trips for the kiddos. Katie took them a couple of weeks ago on a beautiful sunny day and met up with Dylan, Will, and Emily (our former nanny-share partners). She said the kids had a blast, and Emily, the wonderful budding photographer!, captured some great shots. Jack and Dylan started together when Jack was 18 months old, and Dylan was 10 months, so they literally have grown up together! It looked like a fun reunion - and they said that Emma couldn't get enough of Will's chubby cheeks - kept trying to pinch him and kiss him. :-)

Then, this past weekend, we headed back up north to Scott's parents (can you tell I am over the city? We have been spending a lot of time up there - I am feeling so cramped!) and had a wonderful fall weekend filled with fun activities.
First, was the cutest little hometown Libertyville Homecoming Parade where Jack collected about 10 lbs of candy (they are now on detox), then a 2 hour kite flying expedition with Pop, and then off to a sweet little farm/Pumpkin patch complete with a mini-petting zoo, train ride, hay maze, and bouncy houses. The kids had a blast, despite the chilly 20 mph wind.
And the fall weekend was topped off by Emmy's first s'more by the campfire. She LOVED it - the girl has a major sweet tooth, which is interesting, because I am much more of a carb/salt kind of girl......And now that we have completed all of our obligatory FALL activities - we are OFF to bask in the 80 degree, sunny, relaxing Florida climate! Movies, sticker books, snacks, mini-light-up-fans, tape (okay, and maybe a little children's benedryl) are packed! :-)
