Jack was really into it with the daily notes and treats left from his "pet leprechaun", who I told him would visit him during the night if he decorated their bedroom door - which he did with shamrock garland and rainbows. Then, on Friday morning, we set our leprechaun trap and left a Lucky Charms trail to lure him into the shoebox (although Jack did inform me that it isn't nice to trick people...). We didn't catch the little guy, but he did leave chocolate coins, bubble-makers, and a green breakfast for us!

We also got into the St Pattys spirit by taking the El down to the Loop on Saturday afternoon to show the kiddos the green Chicago River...Whoa! So crowded on such a beautiful day! It was a great afternoon and such a nice change of pace from a normal park outing. They loved taking the train and all of the people watching was fun for Scott & I!

My city kiddos...trying to squeeze in all of these fun experiences before a probable summer move to the suburbs!!
The weekend wrapped up with spring cleaning, fun at the parks, a grilled dinner on the porch and early bedtimes for all...Emma ended up getting bacterial pneumonia on her left side, so she still isn't herself and we are trying to get her extra rest and hugs along with her meds...Poor little peanut.
More great "summer weather" this week - makes life much easier for this city mom!
