my friend Emily and I organized a casual little Easter egg hunt this year instead of herding our boys with the rest of Chicago at the Park District like last year (it was CRAZY and they were limited to 4 eggs each – WHAT?!).
we originally had a good crew of about 25 kids attending – UNTIL the terrible 2011 Chicago weather stepped in with SNOW and rain! BOO! we decided that a little rain never hurt anyone (AKA we NEEDED to get our active boys OUT of the house) and charged on through with about 10 other little friends.

in the end, jack and dylan obviously loved the candy and emily and i loved the memory of them pointing to us to pick up the eggs for them while they shoved their freezing paws into their jackets.
lots of easter crafts this week at katie school and a re-cap of little sister’s birthday later when i have time to shuffle through photos!
