snow much fun

we have been blessed to get some snow lately and although it has been few and far between this winter, when it has sprinkled, we have taken advantage of it!  Today’s snowstorm might be the best and Jack and i just got in from shoveling (our driveway really isn’t big enough to need a snowblower) and it is still coming down strong – we have gotten about 3” in the past 3 hours!

the kids are really liking having a yard to play in, make snow angels, snow boys and girls, and of course, Jack is L-O-V-I-N-G all of the shoveling!  I swear this boy is just made for hard, physical work and his Daddy loves the help!

{jack is SOOOOO into soccer and after he and Scott shovel, he always wants to play soccer on the clean driveway…at 7:30am. in the snow.  in the cold.}

{even emma got in on the action – she has been great this winter; doesn’t last as long outside as jack (who could probably stay out all day), but after she finally gets all of the gear on and gets out there, she has fun!}

and this is how we are going to end our afternoon today – all snuggled up in a big fort with popcorn, The Lorax, and hot chocolate!

 

All of this fluffy white stuff is fun, and Jack is having a blast, but I am ready for flip-flops, sunshine picnics, and getting out the door in less than 27 minutes minus the snow gear!
